What Can I Say....

Sorry it took so long, I have been running 80 miles a minute since I have been back.

Quincy and I just really want to thank you for planning, preparing, and executing such a beautiful and flawless day for us. When we decided to get
married at Mackinaw Island, I was deployed to Iraq and he was in Germany, so I knew that we wouldn't be able to effectively plan our wedding without a large amount of stress. I looked up wedding planners on the website and I chose you from the others because it just seemed like you really had yourself together and we are glad that we made that choice. The communication was great and your kindness and understanding of my situation was overwhelming. Everything from the largest to the smallest detail was covered to perfection. Even the weather, I still don't know how you pulled that one off. :) The hardest thing that I had to do was answer your emails about what we wanted, and you did everything else.
Everyone that I spoke to on the Island told me that I had the best of everything, and I wouldn't have known who to pick or where to go if I didn't have you and your rapport with them. You and the the others on the Island really support the troops and even gave us numerous discounts because we were military; that was a great feeling to know that what we do everyday is appreciated by so many! We just want to thank you so
much for such a perfect and stress-free weekend. We won't ever forget it.

Dear Barb,

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that we are back home and have finally caught up on some rest. thank you so much for helping to plan such a lovely wedding. I have recieved so many wonderful comments about you (especially from my mother!!!) I plan to
write to you again soon to once again formally thank you but I just wanted to touch base here for a quick moment.

P.S. I will miss writing to you and recieving letters now. It seems like we are old friends!

I just wanted to thank you for the great advice you provided me on such short notice to plan my special wedding day. Everything was perfect from the hotel and ceremony site to the flowers and photographer. Our wedding was so unique and definitely a day we'll treasure for years to come. Hard to believe just a week ago I was sitting on the island with my new husband.  Please accept my apology for taking so long to contact you.  The kids started school on Monday.  Between 1/2 days, bus problems, school supplies, etc.  I have not had any time to read or write e-mail.

Dave and I want to thank you for helping us make a memorable day.  Everything was perfect.  The weather was great.  

 
Your selection of accommodations were an excellent choice.  It was close to town, but quiet and relaxing.  The suite worked out better than having the room with the hot tub, it gave us a "sitting room" inside.  Our room was on the 2nd Floor that over looked the garden and outdoor hot tub.  The room was not directly over the garden, which made it much more intimate when sitting outside.  The room was close to the elevator for the few times I "wore" Dave out with our walks.   

 

The flowers were very beautiful.  They are just now starting to wilt.  The cake was beautiful as well as delicious, but much more that we could eat.  Your friend personally delivered the cake and added extra roses for a better presentation.
 
The carriage ride was lovely and very relaxing.  I felt like "Queen for a Day" with all the well wishers.   Dave found both the photographer and the videographer very entertaining as they rode their bikes around us.  He made sure he took  pictures of them.  It was funny to be riding and all of a sudden there they are.  We really liked the photographer, and (as I told him) he does fantastic work.  
 
The minister did a good job.  The Lord led him to the right words.  I am very anxious to see the video.
 
Our dinner  was superb as well as the service!  We were early for our reservation, so we sat outside for cocktails before dinner.  

 

Friday night we ate at another one of your favorite spots which was good, but not as good as the previous night.  We decided to skip the Grand all together.  We had a few meals in town, but didn't make it to the last suggested restaurant for one.  The breakfast at the inn was good, especially their coffee.  Dave had to drag me away from their coffee.
 
Well, that pretty well sums it up...    Anyway, you helped make our day simple, elegant, and memorable.  Thank-you.

I cannot believe what I forgot to tell you.  As we were making the rounds on Friday and Saturday people would tell us you called to see how everything went, how the weather was for us, etc.  We felt like our "Fairy Godmother" was looking out for us - thanks.

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that you did it again.  Our daughters wedding was just as beautiful and special and original as the other two that we had been guests of that you put on.  How you make each wedding so unique is beyond us.  You were a dream to work with and so reasonable in cost compared to the other consultants we visited and so much more knowledgeable.  Our youngest is already looking forward to planning her wedding with you. I have absolutely fallen in love with your web site.  If your personality and professionalism matches it, I think I may have found the perfect consultant!

I was going to be getting married in a small town in Austria, but because of illnesses in my fiancé's family, we have decided it would be less complicated to get married here in the states.  We just came to this conclusion on our return from Vienna a few days ago.  The first place that came to mind was Mackinac Island.

I am writing to see if you can give me an idea as to your availability and the availability of weddings on the island.  We were hoping to get married toward the end of June.  (yes, this year)  The day of the week, however, is no object.

I am hoping to have a small but beautiful wedding....

  Hey there we got home tonight at 7:45pm and are pooped. The wedding was fantastic and all went well.  So the minister, flowers, cake and carriage ride all were great. Mission Point was excellent as was the dining room. We did make it to the Grand Hotel for ballroom dancing and got some great videos from our friends. The best of course was Jeff and Jim. They were just super on photos and videos. They made our whole day. No word yet on when we will get the final products but we cant wait. We even stopped by Webers and thanked Tammy personally. She was thrilled. Kim let us keep the cake plate. You of course were the biggest help of all. You gave us all the info and contacts plus your follow ups and answered to our questions and problems. Thanks so much. Our wedding was truly very very special. The weather the night before was cold and rainy with chill factors in the low 30s. Tuesday was great and had plenty of sun to. We had a ball. Of course I now have a head cold but we are home and its in the 80s. Thanks again for everything. We are going to email all the other parties tomorrow. Thanks again.

Barb, When Troy and I decided that we were going to get married we knew that we wanted something simple, beautiful and more importantly intimate.  We had both decided that because of the many things that were going on in both of our lives, that it would be easier if we just simply eloped.  Our families were aware of our plans but knew we were going to do it by ourselves.  When we left your house I immediately felt relieved and assured that everything would work out fine.  I have to say from that day until the day of our wedding I didn't really have to think much about the wedding.  It was nice just to leave it up to you. As we set foot in our suite, I felt like I was in a fairy tale, the room was incredible. Troy and I were in awe. A couple of weeks after our wedding we received our photographs and our wedding video, they were incredible.  We have never had so many compliments, on what a great job they did. The whole experience was beyond what we ever expected.  It was a fairytale come true. It could never have been done without the help of YOU our wedding coordinator!!! I commonly refer to you as our life savor and fairy godmother.  It is a day that we will never forget."
